Sheridan Tennis Club has 6 integrated pickleball courts on 2 tennis courts. Portable outdoor pickleball nets are available and accessible to all members.

2026 STC Pickleball League Play
League play will be using a ladder format and is open only to Sheridan Tennis and Pickleball Club members.
Pending Interest, 3 LADDERS!
1. Competitive Ladder: (Divisions 3&4. This includes skill 3.5-4+) This means that men’s,
women and mixed doubles teams will compete with each other.
2. Recreation Ladder (Divisions 1-3. This includes skill 2.0-3.9) This means that men’s,
women and mixed doubles teams will compete with each other.
3. Ladies Ladder. New for this year! For female players only. All divisions welcome.
All ladders will be partner based. This means that you will select and sign up with your partner.
With your ladder partner, you will play ladder matches against other teams throughout the
summer. If you don’t have a partner, we can try to setup singles, or you can join the Sub list.
A mid season (The ADJUSTER) tournament will be held at the end of June and a final end of
season playoff will take place at the end of August to crown our 2026 Champions.
Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm will be reserved for ladder play. You can
arrange matches for Wednesday evenings or play your matches on dates and times that courts
are available for booking.
Ladder matches CANNOT be played during OPEN or ORGANIZED play.

This ladder is expected to run from May 1st 2026, to the end of August 2026.
Flexibility, patience and cooperation will be expected from all participants.
• When can we play?
o Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm have been set aside by STC
specifically for ladder play. This means that only ladder matches will be permitted
during this time slot.
o Each time you arrange a match for the Wednesday 6pm to 8pm time slot, one
player from each team must register on the STC site.
o If you and the team you are competing against agree, you can play ladder
matches by booking a court, provided you adhere to STC times.
• Format
o This is a simple leapfrog format.
o You select your partner for the duration of the ladder.
o Your team is permitted to challenge a team that is one or two places higher on
the ladder. If your team wins, you will replace the team you defeat. Defeated
teams will move one position down on the ladder.
o Match format is best 2 out of 3 games, each game to 11 points win by 2.
• What’s involved?
o The ladder runs through the Global Pickleball Network site. You will need to use
this site to schedule matches, record scores and see the ladder standings.
o Challenges are made through the website and teams are automatically notified of
challenges through the website.
o Assistance and instruction will be provided to get you started.
• Participation
o If your team does not challenge other teams you will likely not play much, if at all.
o The winning team from each challenge match enters the scores on the host site.
o It is expected that each team will complete 5 matches by the June 22nd to qualify
to play in the mid season Adjuster tournament. Each team will need to complete
8 matches in total to qualify for the end of August season ending tournament
(weather permitting).
o Ladder standings will be available on the Global Pickleball Network and will only
visible to those registered for the STC ladders.
• How do I get started?
o Once registration is complete, you will receive a follow up email with further
instructions.
